~~ Super Original condition, fully overhauled ~~
It features the very best porcelain panels to the sides and front depicting cherubs, delicately and fastidiously painted and decorated with over glaze gilt decoration and a blue ground. Corner pillars are decorated with champlevé enamel. It is in stunning original, untouched condition, never over-cleaned or polished and is complete with its original base and glass dome.

To the top is porcelain urn with ormolu handles. The ormolu pendulum is also mounted with a lovely porcelain plaque depicting a cherub. The porcelain dial is complete with original finely fretted brass hands.

The French movement is by Samuel Marti and is of the maker's usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a sonorous coiled gong. Click the video clip below to hear the gong and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is superb and very original, just some light discolouration, and very light rubbing in places. Porcelain is all in excellent condition with no damage and the over-glaze decoration is in near perfect condition. The velvet covered stand is in good condition with some wear and discolouration to the original velvet and to the gesso base. The glass dome is also in excellent condition with some original bubbles and some very light chipping along the rim. A superb clock in remarkable original condition, ready for your collection!

About us - All of our clocks are original antiques, we source most of our clocks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. We prefer to buy our clocks in original 'dirty' condition. We then clean the cases using a technique we have developed over many years. We employ two qualified clockmakers who overhaul the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they will run trouble free.
