Pair Of Antique IVory And Silver-mounted Knife Rests 1898

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This unusual pair of sterling silver and ivory knife rests is clearly hallmarked for Sheffield 1898 by makers Rowlands and Frazer.

The horn-shaped ivory rests on three silver legs with ball feet which are securely fixed to the ivory and sit squarely upon the table.

They are in excellent condition without damage or repair. Hallmarks are clear and identical on both knife rests.

Altogether a very unusual and attractive pair from these Victorian silversmiths.
