An Early 20th Century Hepplewhite Style Mahogany Double Chair Back Settee

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine early 20th century solid mahogany Hepplewhite style double chair back settee/sofa standing on square tapering collared legs circa 1900.

The twin shield shaped back rest has splats carved with bell flowers. Swept arms continue down to a comfortable padded seat which has been newly re-covered in a plain stone coloured linen.

The sofa is in excellent condition throughout and the wood has a nice depth of colour.

Measurements are as follows:-

Width 43 inches (109 cms)

Depth 21 inches (54 cms)

Height 39 inches (99 cms)

Seat Height 17.5 inches (44 cms)
