Description

An absolutely stunning Edwardian sterling silver jewellery or trinket box, one of the prettiest I have had in a long time.

The box stands on four original pierced or reticulated feet, with the underside having the full English hallmark for Birmingham 1906, together with the makers initials for Henry Matthews.

What makes this a very special piece is the highly decorative lid with a wonderful pierced or reticulated cast border. The box opens to reveal the original silk lined interior.

Superb condition, the lid measuring 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" and standing 2" tall.
