Oversized Antique English Walnut & Brass Tea Caddy C.1860

Description

Most examples of this style of tea caddy are considerably smaller, this one is a really impressive large size.

The dome topped caddy is covered in polished brass mounts, beautifully hand-engraved with floral motifs. The wood is Burr Walnut, a warm and rich cognac colour and highly decorative.

The lid lifts to reveal to removable dome topped cannisters, again all in Walnut.

Complete with a working key, the box remains in superb condition. 10" x 6 1/2" x 7 3/4" tall.
