Description

Fine quality little late 18th.c. mahogany bachelor’s chest of drawers c.1790. Just 2’6? wide with four drawers of graduated height below an oak brushing slide. Unusually, solid timbers are used throughout here with mahogany top and sides and particularly well figured drawer fronts, with oak drawer linings and backboards. Cock beading to the frame rather that drawer fronts, an interesting period detail. Colour and condition is excellent, cleaned and polished in our workshops. With original brasses and an earlier repair to the rear left hand corner of the top.
