Shaun King Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The ceramic frame bears the impressed mark 'BURMANTOFTS FAIENCE' on the back beneath the wooden back board which is glued in place. The BURMANTOFTS name is stamped in GILT on the top of the back board.

Condition:
The condition is good. There is minor grazing to a few highpoints and a small amount of old restoration to five leaves and two outside edges of the frame. The esel support on the back board no longer works.
