Antique Victorian Ebonised & Gilt Ladies Dressing or Writing Table C1880

Antique Victorian Ebonised & Gilt Ladies Dressing or Writing Table and dating from around 1880. It has a shaped top with gilt edge and brass gilt inlaid banding and to the centre is an inlaid gilt brass floral motif with ivory centre. It has a deep skirt with inlaid banding and drawer to the front with original brass handle. The top raises and opens to reveal an inset gilt edged mirror and maple lined drawer which pulls out revealing the section under the maple shelf. There is a compartment to each side. It stands on turned and fluted legs with gilt mounts joined by an 'X' framed stretcher with turned finial to the centre.

Measures: 29.5" high x 16" deep x 27" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
