Description

An excellent quality mid-19th century lady's travelling DRESSING and JEWELLERY BOX in great condition.

The finely figured coromandel case, inset with gilt initials and bound in brass, opens to reveal the fully fitted interior with TEN engraved silver-topped jars and bottles and a tray full of the original tools and implements.

Below is the locking and spring-loaded fitted jewellery drawer and within the lid is a concealed mirror with original plate. The silver is hallmarked for London 1866. A lovely box!
