Solid Silver Travelling Soap Box - Barnard 1895

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

A beautiful solid sterling silver travelling soap box made by the famous Barnard family hallmarked for London 1895. This lovely antique has an oval shape and is heavy and tactile.

The top features three cherubs in a setting of trees and foliage and the base is well gilded sitting squarely on the table surface.

The gilding inside the lid is in excellent condition and there is a partial hallmark at the bottom of the scene. The lid pushes onto the base and is a good, secure fit.

This is a lovely piece and would be suitable for jewellery, trinkets or snuff.
