Description

A Fine Quality burr walnut & marquetry inlaid Victorian Period Antique Pier Cabinet. Having a rectangular top veneered in beautifully figured walnut above the cavetto shaped frieze with satinwood, purple heart, sycamore and arabesque marquetry inlaid detail. With an arched panelled door centred by a wonderful sevres porcelain plaque depicting cherubs within an ormolu mount, veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with purple heart banding and sycamore inlay. The door opens to reveal a velvet lined shelved interior. Having canted corners with ormolu mounts and with similar purple heart and sycamore inlaid detail. The ends veneered in figured walnut, the whole raised on a walnut veneered shaped plinth, English in the French Style circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 34" wide x 14" deep x 42" high

Condition: This pier cabinet is in stunning condition, re-polished in our workshops
