Description
Early C20th George II period style mahogany double chair-back settee. Quality carved mahogany framed Chippendale design chair-back settee on triple shaped carved acanthus-leaf wrapped cabriole legs with scroll "French" foot and shaped arms. . Flower-head and ribbon carving to front rail . Well-carved pierced and interlaced splats , with leaf, rosette and scroll-carved top-rail. Excellent condition and rich colour timber , with clean upholstered seat cover with close-nail /stud finish. W 54" H(back)38" H(seat)18".
