The sterling silver caddy which holds the glass is pierced or reticulated and allows peaks of the wonderful rich colour to show through, especially when placed strategically allowing light to shine from the back.

The silver (top and bottom) have full hallmarks for Birmingham 1900 with the makers initials for the well renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews.
Excellent condition standing 2 1/4" tall with a lid diameter measuring 2 3/8".
