The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The longer chain on the albert measures 12.5" / 32cm.
The albert is hallmarked for Birmingham 1883 with the makers mark D&F (Deakin & Francis Ltd).Each link of the chain has the lion passant silver mark. The clasp is later and stamped SS (sterling silver)

The fob has a cast rococo front with a vacant cartouche to the centre. The back is inscribed M.A.Hofton Nov 1942.
The albert and fob are in nice condition with only light marks from use and weigh 47.7 Grams in total.
