Description

A wonderful antique English Inkwell or Inkstand dating to the late Victorian era.

The stand has a leather underside and two integral handles with leather inset under the brass ball decoration.

The crystal inkwell is without damage and has a hinged brass lid, of course what makes this piece is the magical cast Lizard on top with tiny glass eyes, both still intact.

A most unusual desk-top accessory. The stand measuring 8 1/2" x 4 1/2"; the lizard measures 2 1/2" in length.
