Description

A stunning Victorian Walnut table or desk box dating to the mid-19th century beautifully edged in Tulipwood, then inlaid with Geometric Tunbridge Ware and Kingwood; all wonderfully executed, refined and intricate. The front has an inlaid brass escutcheon and the top has a complimentary inlaid brass plaque.

The interior has been re-lined with an attractive hand-marbled paper creating a fresh and clean finish ready for use.

Complete with working taselled key (a little temperamental, it seems to require two full turns each way to open and lock) , the box is in excellent condition, measuring 10" x 7" x 5" tall.
