Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The lids too are a little more unusual, again made from sterling (unmarked as most of these bottles were not) silver with a pretty floral embossed decoration.

One end is hinged, with the little glass stopper intact and the other end is a screw-top with the cork to the inside of the lid to keep the liquid from evaporation.
A real beauty in excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" in length.
