Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The set has good very sturdy carved oak frames, high shield shaped backs with turned legs and stretchers, this style of leg is known in France as “pieds de mouton” or “osso Bouco” and the carver chairs have attractive shepherd’s crook arms.

The chairs are upholstered in an exquisite tapestry type woven fabric, which has a romanticised hunting theme illustrating animals and hunters in the forest
The set is in very sound condition with no loose joints or breaks; the fabric is bright and shows little signs of use but otherwise fine

The chairs are 46” high at the back, 19” wide and 19” deep, the carver chairs are 48” high at the back, 27” across the front and 28” deep
