17th Century Carved Oak Livery Cupboard or Court Cupboard, Dresser

This is a very superior quality piece, it originates from France, 2 doors enclose a long cupboard, with drawers beneath and a pot board shelf at the bottom

This striking piece has carved panels on the front, these are in the Gothic style with many Fleur de Lys representing the French influence, the drawer fronts are also carved as are the sides in a linen fold pattern. Another interesting and very attractive feature of this piece are the early blacksmith made hinges and locks

The cupboard is in excellent condition for its age

The Cupboard is 70” long, 57” tall and it is 22” deep and very heavy
