A Heavy Brass Hall Lantern with Six Glass Panels

1900 - 1920
Description

Dating from around 1920-1940 this decorative lantern has d six glass panels inset, each with a criss cross pattern.

It measures approximately 40cm across at the widest point and 60cm in length to the large hook at the top without the ceiling hook included in the measurements.

The original heavy brass ceiling hook is included in the price and we will put a photograph of it as soon as we can. It has been rewired to UK specifications by a qualified electrician.

The light is probably European and we suspect it has been hung in a slightly damp area as the brass has darkened, or the original owner lacquered it and the effect has been to darken the brass. But it remains an attractive colour and the details around show very clearly.

For postage and packing quotes, please contact us, or if the buyer can arrange collection from us in Surrey, we will pack it for safe transportation and offer a discount in the price.
