Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.

The oval shaped caddy has a raised decorative border to the top and bottom and either side, a very handsome Lion's head with a delightful swing handle with a shell motif.
The top finial is made from carved Ebony wood, (one hairline in the wood, shown and mentioned purely for accuracy). The hinged lid opens to reveal a lavishly gilded interior.

The caddy and lid are hallmarked for London 1909, together with the silversmith's initials.
Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" tall to top of finial.
