Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Linen Press

Description

This very impressive antique mahogany Linen Press is early Victorian, fabulous quality & in lovely original condition. It was made by or for a company in Holborn in London & the name is actually stamped into the top of the right hand drawer. This linen press has all the original sliding trays, original turned handles (on the door too) & original locks in all of the drawers. The top cupboards have panels & there are no splits or warps. The mahogany has a beautiful grain throughout & a good original colour. It comes apart into three sections. The top cornice lifts off, while the cupboard lifts off the chest section. This linen press has a pronounced cornice & the drawers sit on a plinth base. It dates to around the 1840-60's period. Check out the fine dovetails on the drawers.
