A very decorative gilded brass clock in the style of Louis XVI.
The front of the clock has a finely fretted panel which allows the pendulum to be glimpsed, swinging inside the case. Dial is beautifully decorated with a floral swag on a cream enamel background.
The French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell (replaced). Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!
Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright gilding with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
