A superb gilt brass clock set modelled in the style of Louis XVI.
The clock is profusely decorated with floral swags and scrolls. Candelabra are similarly styled with vases supporting 5 light candelabrum. The quality the set is excellent, it is heavily modelled with crisply sharp detail and a very good, clean and bright finish.

The dial is solid cast brass mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouches and is compete with the original blued steel hands. The back door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen.
The French movement is of the highest quality and is marked on the movement backplate for the Parisian retailer. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and some wear to the gilding. The dial has a star hairline to the number one cartouche. Candelabra arms are very slightly distorted.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
