~~ Excellent condition ~~
A very pretty boudoir clock of gilt metal with Sevres style porcelain panels and dial.
The case is surmounted by a charming figure of Cupid about to fire an arrow, draped with floral swags. The style of the case is classical in the taste of Louis 16, architectural with supporting scrolls to each side of the case. Modelling of the case is very crisp and the gilt finish is very good. The clock sits on a gesso base covered with velvet to match the porcelain.

The Samuel Marti French movement is of excellent quality, runs for 8 days and strikes half-hourly on a bell. Backplate has the clockmakers mark. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. We have replaced the missing bell and the pendulum is original. Click the movie on our website to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is very good. The porcelain is all in good condition with no chips or cracks, a very light scratch on the lower panel. The over-glaze gilt decoration is slightly worn in some places. The gilding is in excellent condition with some wear in places.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
