Antique Victorian Carved Oak Box Settle C1880

Antique Victorian Carved Oak Box Settle and dating from around 1880. It has a high carved panelled back with carved top rail with scrolled carvings to each end above three small carved panels and three large panels with carved lozenge to the centre. It has a plank seat which opens to reveal deep storage box above a linen fold frieze and three panels with carved lozenge to the centre and stands on small turned feet. It has panelled sides and silhouette arms on turned supports. It also has its original red velvet horsehair filled seat pad.

Measures: 49" high x seat height 17" x 23" deep x 48" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
