Description

A rarer 9" dropdial fusee wall clock. A rosewood case with mother of pearl inlays. A brass edged base pendulum aperture. A cast brass bezel to the painted dial signed James Webb, Froome'. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1840.

The Webb family of clockmakers are documented in AJ Moores' 'Somerset Clockmakers' book.
