A Fine Gillows Library Table

Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a very special and superb quality early/mid 19th century mahogany LIBRARY TABLE in fine condition.

The top is particularly well figured and of a rich colour, and features a solid "gadrooned" boarder, whilst to the frieze are two long shallow mahogany-lined drawers. It stands on typical Gillows turned and fluted 'standard' ends with "gadroon" carved collars, leading to compressed bun feet and the original concealed cast brass castors.

A lovely table, for which copies of the original drawings are available. Measurements: 48ins wide; 29ins deep; 28ins high. (122 x 73.5 x 71cms)
