Antique Georgian Leather Wing Back Armchair

Description

This is an original antique Georgian wing armchair, upholstered in a fabulous distressed brown leather & I would date it to around the 1790-1810 period, but it might be even older. The legs are mahogany with 'H' stretchers & it has brass casters. The leather has been individually hand tacked. I don't know when it was recovered, but whoever upholstered it did a great job. This wing armchair has great proportions & is very comfortable to sit on. I acquired this armchair as it is, & have done no work to this piece, because it was in lovely condition.

Depth - 28.5", 72 cm

Height - 45", 114 cm

Seat height - 17.5", 44 cm
