Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Standing on four bun feet, the cabinet has a label on the underside from when it was last gifted in 1940, this isn't when the cabinet was made, it was then a true antique and over 100 years old, this is a Regency era box dating to around 1820.

The label reads: "To Thomas Nicholls Beavan From His Sister Mary Carrick Beavan / April 1940".

The two doors has two Chinoiserie panels and once opened the interior is an absolute joy, the inside of the doors is decorated with Chinoiserie panels and the front of the drawers decorated with an array of Butterflies, Moths and other Bugs.

The top section has been professionally relined in Navy Blue velvet, fitted for Jewelry including a ring bank to accommodate around five to six rings. The drawers all retain the original pale blue regency paper to the sides and the bottoms re-lined with blue velvet.
Exquisite in every way and a petite size, measuring 7 1/2" x 5" and standing 9 1/4" tall.
