Pair of Antique Original Leather Tub Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

This pair of antique tub shaped armchairs are still upholstered in the original leather, which is in good shape & they have a great original look. There is some natural distressing on the leather, but there are no splits or tears. They sit on turned bun feet which have the original casters below. I would say they date to around the 1920's period & because of the tub shape, are very comfortable. They still have the original coil springs inside & they are quite soft to sit on, because the springs have softened up. However, considering they are about 100 years old, they are still okay. If you are looking for a hard firm seat, then these are not for you, unless you wish to re-spring them, which could easily be done.
