Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.

On the interior of one door is a pair of silver plated berry / fruit serving spoons and on the other door, a pair of Grape shears and a pair of nut crackers. The bars holding these items in place are sprung and need to be removed to remove these pieces, the spring is strong and requires a little effort to remove.

The cabinet is quite magnificent, impressed with an English design registration number, only used on noteworthy articles, the case is impressed "Registered July 1880". The berry spoons and grape shears are also marked with the silversmith's mark for the well renowned Walker and Hall of London and Sheffield.

The footprint of the cabinet while all closed up is 13 1/2" x 5 1/4" and stands 12" tall. Each fruit knife measures 8" in length and each fork, 6 3/4". Excellent condition and complete with a cabinet key.
