Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
It is wonderful in the classic and elegant design of swags and acanthus decoration on a slim tapering body ending on a tripod base, this really is Messenger at their best.
It is marked on the base RD 612325 and ME 1602
It has been totally rewired by a fully qualified electrician and is ready for immediate use. It also comes with a brand new green shade.
In excellent condition with the brightness of the solid gilt brass yet retaining the patina which you would expect of pieces of this period.
It measures 23 inches in height including the shade and the base is 5 inches. The diameter of the shade is 14 inches.
This is a beautiful genuine lamp and not to be confused with reproductions.
