Carved Wine Table - Victorian Mahogany - c1900

This late Victorian very attractive side table is presented in excellent order with quality throughout and fine proportion.

Rising from tripod base where elegant cabriole legs with hand carving feed into a quality carved taper stem supporting a birdcage mount.

Fine shape to the upper with serpentine edge and a carved perimeter with foliate detailing.

The table benefits from a tilt action adding practicality through ease of storage. When in the level position the table is very solid.

Desirable in this size & condition the table will make a fine hall or console table, drawing room piece or for serving morning coffee or afternoon tea - perfect as a accent piece and sufficiently strong for the rigours of daily life.
