Magnificent Antique English Candlesticks in Silver Plate - Elkington & Co. - 1860

Description

Really the creme de la creme of candlesticks and certainly the best I have had in some time. Heavily cast (not weighted) this pair is silverplated by the top-notch silversmith, Elkington and Company.

They are a riot of decoration covered grape vines and beautifully hand chased, just take a look at the magnificent base.

Being Elkington, we are able to date them exactly to the year 1860, so a true mid-Victorian in era.

This pair has it all, heirloom quality, superb condition and the best maker you could wish for. The base diameter measures 5 1/2", standing 10" tall.
