A Small Chippendale Style Mahogany Antique Grandmother Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A small Chippendale style mahogany antique grandmother clock. Having a removable hood with an exquisitely carved swan neck pediment with turned flaming finials, blind fret detail and with free standing reeded columns. The trunk again having blind fret carved detail, tear drop mouldings and quarter reeded columns. The shaped door is veneered in wonderful flame mahogany, supported on a canted corner base with "brick" moulded detail and with S shaped ogee feet. The arch brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and cast Cherub spandrels. The spring driven movement striking gongs on the quarter past, half past, quarter too and on the hour. English circa 1920

Dimensions: 59" high

Condition: This clock is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. The movement is working and guaranteed for a year
