Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
I believe this item dates from around the 1910-20's period & it has just been lightly polished. The original marble top has some beautiful graining to it, with a great colour & is in perfect condition. This commode is made up from many different woods & more exotic woods incorporated within the various marquetries that I'm not that knowledgeable about. I can see rosewood, walnut, kingwood, satinwood & satin birch. There is so much intricate detail that the more you look the more you discover. There are also lots of gilt bronze mounts, handles, feet & fittings. There is also a key that works the top drawer.
