Antique Regency Open Armchair with Rope Twist Back

Description

An antique period Regency carver chair in solid mahogany from circa 1820. It features a tablet back and reeded uprights with an attractive rope twist top rail. It stands on sabre legs and has been newly reupholstered in a chenille fabric with a subtle design of circles in cream and ivory. A solid and substantial chair that has been restored and would make a beautiful desk chair or hall chair.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany

Condition Report:

Solid and sturdy. Newly reupholstered. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Lots of old restoration to both arms and the seat rail and legs. old worm holes to the seat rai which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.
