A fine 19th Century bronze figure of Mozart by Adrien Goudez. A bronze figure depicting Mozart with a guitar, signed to the base and with an applied bronze plaque circa 1880

Dimensions: 20" high x 6" diameter

Adrien Etienne Gaudez (1845-1902) was a sculptor French born in Lyon on February 9th 1845, he died in Neuilly sur Seineon on January 23rd of 1902

He was a pupil of Francois Jouffrey at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1862

Prisoner of war in Magdeburg in 1870, his work is the statue in memory of the French prisoners of this city. He participated in the Paris Salon of 1878 with plaster sculpture entitled Childhood of Jupiter

Condition: This bronze is in excellent condition, a wonderful colour and patination
