Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The central "concealed" frieze drawer stamped "Holland & Sons". Each pedestal with a beautifully figured mahogany panelled door flanked by reeded columns and acanthus carved corbels. The left hand cupboard having a shelved interior, the right hand cupboard having a shelf and a cellaret drawer. Supported on a mahogany veneered plinth. English circa 1835

Holland & Sons was founded in 1803 by William Holland (1803-1843). From 1803 to 1843, they were carpenters and upholsterers William Holland and Stephen Taprell were also business partners. The company was called until 1835 "Taprell & Holland," to 1843 "Taprell, Holland & Son" and from 1843 "Holland & Sons'. In 1851, the company employed more than 350 employees.

Condition: This sideboard is in excellent condition, extremely minor loss of carving to the top of one of the columns. The top has been re-polished at some time
