Description

A very attractive watercolour by a known Victorian painter, she was elected to the New Water Colour Society in 1849 where she exhibited, as well as the Royal Academy and the British Institute.

She was born in London in 1819 (nee Emma S Eburne)painted as Emma Oliver, after the death of her husband William Oliver in 1853, she became Mrs Emma Sedgwick, her paintings are at the V&A and in the Dublin Museum.
