Antique Large Regency Mahogany Clothes Press C1820

Antique Large Regency Mahogany Clothes Press and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top above a cross banded frieze and above two doors each with oval flamed mahogany panels with fine stringing and cross cut edges. It has a brass divider to the centre and working key and internally there is a brass rail. To the base there is a moulded edge to the top above two short drawers over two long drawers all of which are oak lined with later brass handles and it stands on shaped bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze. The top separates for ease of transporting.

Measures: 83" high x 26" deep x 22" internal depth x 54" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
