Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The CASE is wonderful and totally untouched, with its original set of three gilt brass finials (the centre one larger); fretwork pediment; long "flame" mahogany trunk door with arched top and complicated mouldings; similar plinth and original bracket feet.
Just 6ft 7ins high (excluding finials). This clock is remarkably original in every way; finials; brass weights and pendulum bob all retain their identical lacquered colour and finish. Truly delightful.
The partnership of Dwerrihouse and Ogston worked in Davies Street, London, from1835-1842.
