Solid 14ct gold gents pocket watch by the premier Swiss maker Omega.
The gold plated 17 jewel 37.5T watch movement is just superb, as you can see it is in fabulous like new condition.
It has a gilt dial with the sub seconds dial and gilt hands all of which are totally original.
Very much of the Art Deco design, a slim case which simply glides into the pocket.
It comes with a presentation box.
The serial number on the movement dates this watch to 1944.
The watch case is 45mm in diameter.
Omega is one of the most premier watch makers and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
If being over critical there is a slight dent on the dial between the 9 and centre which can be seen in the magnified photographs, as this watch is 70 years old it is our job to restore as opposed to replace to keep its authenticity.
The watch has just been fully overhauled and serviced by Alan Williams FBHI. It has been fully authenticated and found to be a genuine Omega in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under high magnification for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The watch movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. the cases are polished and the watch sealed, in the case of waterproof watches a full waterproof pressure test is carried out to manufacturers specification.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many many years.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
