Description

A handsome late Victorian jewelry box dating to around 1900. Made from Walnut with it's rich Cognac colour, the domed top is inset with a polished brass carrying handle.

The lid opens to reveal the original tufted silk interior with the fitted jewellery tray having been professionally re-lined to coordinate extremely well; there are two runs of ring cushions that run up each end, each would accommodate around 5 rings.

Underneath is a drawer, with a polished brass handle, again lined in the rich Burgundy fabric.

Complete with a tasselled key, the box remains in superb condition. The footprint measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/4" and stands 5" tall.
