A Flame Mahogany Early Victorian Antique Secretaire Bookcase

Description

A flame mahogany Early Victorian Period antique secretaire bookcase. The upper section with a moulded cornice above twin glazed doors enclosing an adjustable shelved interior. The lower section with a rectangular flame veneered secretaire drawer which opens to reveal a baize lined writing surface and a satinwood and ebony fitted interior, retaining the original writhen turned drawer pulls. Having twin panelled rectangular doors with free standing circular columns, the whole supported on carved bun feet. English circa 1850

Dimensions: 30" wide x 78" high x 16" deep (writing surface height 31")

Condition: This secretaire bookcase is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. Replacement glass panels. Minor wear to the baize
