Rising from Easter Island feet into a carved lower section with serpentine edge lower tray, up through substantial turned legs, splaying outward to create a most pleasing aesthetic. The supports terminated with a generous carved ball finial - perfect for hanging a hat or scarf on.
The back offers profuse carving in common with the whole. A fine shaped crown with foliate carved theme provides further interest.
The piece benefits from quality craftsmanship and is solid of joint and robust throughout. A superb example ready for another couple of centuries of use.
Very nicely executed in oak and will make a great addition to any setting; portico, hallway, cloakroom, porch or door step.
