Amboyna Centre Table

19th century
Description

An exceptional quality Victorian octagonal amboyna and ebonised Centre Table in the Aesthetic Movement style. The Table has a beautifully veneered amboyna segmented top with fine gilt and ebony inlaid detail and finished with an ormolu moulded edge. The base has four turned fluted ebonised and gilded columns and central finial terminating in out swept legs with amboyna and gilded detail.

The Table still retains its original porcelain black casters.

The Table is attributed to the exceptional furniture makers, Gillows of Lancaster

Height - 29 ½ inches

Width - 42 inches

Depth - 42 ½ inches
