A Superb Quality Mahogany Inlaid Late Victorian Period Antique Writing Table

Description

A stunning mahogany inlaid Late Victorian Period writing table probably by Edwards & Roberts Of London. Having a raised back with a pierced brass fretwork gallery and a central serpentine fitted stationery compartment with an Adams style inlaid urn and trailing foliate detail. Flanked by four mahogany lined drawers, each having marquetry inlaid detail.The rectangular solid mahogany top having a burgundy gilt and blind tooled leather inset writing surface above the three rectangular frieze drawers, cross banded in satinwood and with trailing foliate inlaid detail. Supported on four elegant square tapering supports with brass cup castor's, all locks stamped VR circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 42" wide x 24" deep x 39" high (knee hole 24" high)

CONDITION: This writing table is in stunning condition, re-polished in our workshops, top quality replacement leather insert.
