A Stunning Burr Walnut Ormolu Mounted Victorian Period Antique Credenza

Description

A burr walnut ormolu mounted Victorian Period inlaid credenza. The top is veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with serpentine shaped ends and having arabesque boxwood inlaid detail to the cavetto shaped frieze. Having a central rectangular panelled door again with arabesque boxwood marquetry inlaid detail and an ormolu beaded edge, which opens to reveal a watermarked silk lined shelved interior. Flanked by half round inlaid columns with ormolu mounts. The ends having a serpentine glazed door again opening to reveal watermark silk lined shelving. Supported on a serpentine walnut veneered plinth. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 63" wide x 42" high x 17.5" deep

Condition: This credenza is in excellent condition, re-polished and re-lined in our workshops
